Katherine Penfold

Originally from River John, Nova Scotia, Katherine started her career as a Celtic Traditional singer and song writer at a young age. She has traveled all around Southern Manitoba and into Saskatchewan with her piano and Celtic Flutes, playing solo for all types of venues such as Winnipeg Folk Festival, and Dauphin Country Festival. Through the years her appreciation of all genres of music began to shine through as her Folk music started evolving into Jazz, R&B, and Pop.

Katherine has just finished recording her first solo album, Journals after winning $25,000 in a singer/songwriter competition put on by GROOVEFM out of Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2007. 

The new album features some tasty guitar work from Carl Strempler.
