The Altosis pedal is inspired by a monster from Abenakis mythology named Ato-sees. He’s a shaman who is both snake and human. He forces people to find a branch so that he can cook them with it.

The Altosis is an OVERDRIVE pedal that possesses a clean, rich and unique sound. This original pedal has been created to meet the expectations of guitarists who are looking for a high-quality pedal that possesses a lot of options.

This pedal’s characteristics are:

PUSH & FAT : Controls high and low frequencies in the distortion loop. These controls allow a precise adjustment in order to optimise the capacities of the effect with every type of amplifier and guitar.

BOOST : Offers two different types of boost :

✓ FAT : Low frequencies are added in the distortion loop (≈ 150 Hz);

✓ PRE : The pre-amp’s volume is increased, allowing a higher level of distortion;

DIODE : Offers two different types of diodes (MA856 and BA282). Also, “dip switches” inside of the pedal allow the user to select the number of active diodes, which allows the utilisation of diodes in a symmetrical or asymmetrical circuit. TONE (switch) : Offers two different tonalities. 720 Hz has a similar tonality to the famous green pedals whereas 1060 Hz has a higher tonality allowing a more modern distortion sound.

GERM : Adds a stage of distortion (germanium) to the pedal. The effect of the germanium diodes is emphasized by the TONE control. The higher the TONE control is, the more the germanium diodes are active. The addition of the germanium diodes can make the sound of the pedal very chaotic (similar to a fuzz). Also, this option is more noticeable with the 720 Hz mode activated.
