This pedal is a faithful recreation of the greatest fuzz pedal of all time, The Fuzz Face, but with one major modification. Keith at BTMB converted the circuit to use a negative ground and NPN transistors instead of the traditional positive ground and PNP transistors.

The hand-selected NOS AC127 Germanium transistors deliver the exact same warm vintage fuzz tones as the more familiar NTK275 or AC128 Germanium transistors, but they play nice with all your other pedals and standard power supplies.

As with all EQ’d Vintage Series pedals, the Classic Germanium Fuzz features a powerful 3‐band EQ with a sweepable, parametric midrange. The concentric knobs keep everything compact, yet easy to use. The soft-touch relay switching system offers reliable pop-­free true bypass switching. The through‐hole (not surface mount) PCB is assembled entirely by hand in their shop in Richland, WA.
